"amalgam" 2014
“amalgam”: merger, combination, and fusion. At the same time, it is used to create the reflective side of a mirror – another rather metaphorical connection to the work itself. Acting as a mirror in itself. Something to reflect in and reflect on.
By using different techniques of creating and presentation and execution of the images, I intent to question, what then becomes of the resulting work of art. Ultimately the ambiguity of the images lies below the surface. An infinity for discovering the invisible. Thereby making the invisible accessible through darkness, and self-reflection and through raised curiosity.
I wanted to find out the limits of the photographic process, and realised, that there are not really any limits.
